A search for the simple string perl on google today resulted in most of the sites you'd expect to see. However, I notice that at least here in the UK, the 5th entry is perl.co.uk. What is perl.co.uk?
It appears to be a parked domain gathering ad revenue and having nothing whatsoever to do with Perl. Apparently the domain owner is using a service from a company I am not even going to name to gather this revenue. When you look at googles cache of this page it contains nothing other than "Click here to enter" and google even suggests "These terms only appear in links pointing to this page" (where these terms are perl).
Google, why on earth do you think this page is worth seeing for perl searches?
